2021 CFEMC Annual Meeting

The 2021 Annual Member Appreciation Day and Annual Meeting will once again look different. Due to COVID-19 concerns, your Board of Directors made the decision to once again utilize our DRIVE-THRU MEETING format. Knowing the annual meeting is a vital part of the cooperative structure, you Board weighed the decision with the concerns for the health and safety of both you and our employees.

This year, CFEMC will hold a drive-thru business-only event on Saturday, October 9, from 9AM until 11AM at the EMC headquarters located at 807 Collinsworth Road, Palmetto. We regret there will be no kids rides, health fair, bingo or community demonstrations at the event.

However, your participation is still IMPORTANT! You’ll receive a registration packet in the mail around September 15. Inside you’ll find information on  how you can vote electronically and participate in this year’s meeting. If needed, you’ll also be able to vote when you drive-thru on the day of the event.

We’re also providing you with the opportunity to register early at any of our local office locations during the week of October 4-8. Make sure you bring your registration information with you whenever you choose to participate. Every registered member will receive a Magic Strip Power Cube just for registering.

Please bookmark this page and continue to check back. We’ll be providing  updates about the annual meeting and you’ll also be able to see information about the business session as well. This will include speeches from CFEMC CEO Chris Stephens, Board Chairman Jim Fulton, True Natural Gas Board Chairman Neal Shepard, and Operation Round Up Chairwoman Alice Reeves. We’ll also be providing updates through our social channels and will Live Stream through Facebook on October 9th at 11AM to share business session updates and draw for our grand prize winner.  Results will also be posted to this page following the meeting.

What about prizes?
You’ll receive a registration gift whether you register in person on October 9, between 9-11AM or if you choose to take part in the early registration at an of our branch offices the week of October 4-8.  The branch offices are located in Newnan at 14 Hospital Road, or in Fayetteville at 103 Summer Road.

We will award the grand prize winner like always. Everyone who registers will automatically be entered in the drawing whether they drive-thru or register early. A computer program will randomly select the winner from all those who register and we will announce that winner on Facebook and on utility.org. An employee will also reach out to the winner in case you miss the announcement and arrange for you the prize to be claimed.
How do I vote?
Part of the value of being a member-owner of CFEMC is the opportunity to participate in the election of your board of directors. On your registration letter, you’ll see information on how to vote to approve the minutes of the 2020 Annual Meeting. These are available at the bottom of this page for you to read. Please follow the instruction for how to cast your vote electronically. Member who cannot vote electronically, will have the opportunity to vote on site if they choose to participate in the drive-thru event on October 9.

This year three seats on the Board of Directors were up for election. The nominating committee appointed Mildred A. Winkles (Seat 3, Coweta County), Donald E. Harris (Seat 4, Coweta County) and Alice J. Mallory (Seat 4, Fayette County) to feel these spots. The nominating committee received no other candidates for consideration. As such, these incumbents are re-elected to the positions.
