1How do I make application, and are there any fees?
There is no need to come in to make application. We can take your application over the phone or through this web site or we can mail you any paperwork that needs to be signed. Several fees are required when making application. They can be applied to your first bill. The fees required for application are: Membership fee: $25 to join the Cooperative Deposit: $175 Contact our customer service advisors for the possibility of waiving the deposit if you have a good payment history with another utility company. 2What do I do if my power goes off?
To report a power outage, call the 24-hour emergency response center at 770-502-0226 and simply leave your telephone number.
3What is a CO-OP?
Co-op means that the EMC is owned by you, its members. Our rates are set by our members through a board of directors elected from and by the membership. Since we are a non-profit Cooperative, any margin above operating cost is refunded back to you. 
4How can I pay my bill?
Coweta-Fayette EMC offers several methods of payment. You may pay your bill at any of our offices which are located in Newnan, Fayetteville and Palmetto, or you may simply mail in your payment. Bills may be paid using cash, check, Mastercard, or Visa. Bills can also be paid using a bank draft which automatically deducts the amount from your bank account each month. We understand that from time to time there may be circumstances which cause a temporary problem with your finances. 5When I am ready to move into my new house, can you tell me when my service will be connected?
Yes. Call our customer service advisors to find out when your connection is scheduled. They can also tell you if there is a problem which might delay your service connection. 
6Do you have any special programs or incentives for total-electric homes?
Yes, we have rebates for the installation of energy efficient heat pumps; and we offer a $2 electric water heater for each summer month (June through October). 7Do I have a choice of power suppliers?
Since 1973, most large industrial/commercial facilities with connected loads over 900 kW are able to choose their power suppliers. All other customers are served by the power supplier in their assigned areas.
8Is site lighting available?
Yes. Coweta-Fayette EMC can provide commercial and residential site lighting.
9Is underground service available?
Yes. Coweta-Fayette can provide underground utilities for residential and commercial applications.
10Are EMC's rates competitive with other power suppliers?
Absolutely. It is our mission to provide reliable, competitively-priced power to all of our members.
11What is Power Cost Adjustment?
The Power Cost Adjustment is used to adjust the rates charged to members when the price for fuel to generate electricity rises and falls over time and to recover other expenses as needed for maintenance, operations, environmental requirements, fuel transportation and overhead cost. Power Cost Adjustments can be additions or subtractions to a rate depending on financial requirements for the year.
