Bright Ideas Grants

Purpose: Many teachers develop innovative classroom projects, but lack the funds to implement the projects. Our Bright Ideas grants funds these projects for teachers. Eligibility:

1. 1. School teachers in the area Coweta-Fayette EMC serves.
2. 2. Projects must benefit students in grades Pre K-12.
3. 3. Teachers may only be an applicant of one project per school year.
4. 4. Instructions must be followed completely.

Over the last 20 years, thousands of consumers have let the Cooperative install load management switches on their electric central air conditioning/heat pump systems to help reduce this summer peak demand. With everyone’s cooperation, a sizable amount of money has been saved. However,with an increase of homes, apartments and condominiums, summer demands have risen further increasing our demand charges. From a financial standpoint, it is important that everything possible be done to minimize the effects of the increasing amount of air conditioning.
