Although the storm shifted north and our system remained largely unaffected, we proudly sent CFEMC crews to assist co-ops in the harder-hit regions of North Georgia including Habersham EMC. Supporting fellow cooperatives is a longstanding tradition in the cooperative network, and we’re honored to lend a hand when others are in need. Even though we avoided the worst of the ice, the drop in temperatures will still drive higher energy use, especially as heating systems work harder to keep homes comfortable.
