Coweta-Fayette EMC’s Operation Round Up Foundation Raises Over $24,000 at Annual Golf Tournament
PALMETTO, GA., June 12, 2025 – Coweta-Fayette EMC’s Operation Round Up hosted its third annual Swing Fore Operation Round Up Golf Tournament on Thursday, May 22, at the Newnan Country Club. The charitable event raised more than $24,000 to support local nonprofits and enhance educational opportunities for students through the Operation Round Up Trust.
The tournament brought together 30 teams and 18 sponsors, all uniting with one goal: to give back to the community. Thanks to the generous support of local businesses and individual donors, the event was a success!

Proceeds were generated through sponsorships and donations from 27 local businesses and individuals including: Gresco, Family of Companies, Brent Scarbrough, Enervision, West Georgia Technical College, Blickle, True Natural Gas, Go Energy Credit Union, Chick-fil-A, GreyStone Power, Southern Power, Warner Hooper Ramsey, Piedmont Newnan, Piedmont Fayette, MasTec, O’Neal Scoggins Inc., Pike, The Law Office of Johnny Phillips, Newnan Utilities, The A Team, ISE, KA Oldham Design Inc., Alice Mallory, Cam Freeman Homes, Shepard Financial, Coldwell Banker Commercial Bullard, and Lindsey’s Realtors.
Since its inception, the Operation Round Up Foundation has distributed over $6.2 million to individuals and organizations in need across the Coweta-Fayette area.

Established in 1993, Operation Round Up allows Coweta-Fayette EMC members to voluntarily round up their monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar, with the extra change going into a charitable fund that supports local individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations in need.
