Walter Harrison Scholarship
In addition, Alexis Wingenbach of Coweta County was awarded the Walter Harrison Scholarship, a $1,000 award presented by Georgia EMC. This scholarship honors the legacy of Walter Harrison, a visionary leader in the electric cooperative movement at the local, state, and national levels, and a community advocate from Millen, Georgia.
These scholarships are made possible through Operation Round-Up, a charitable program where Coweta-Fayette EMC members voluntarily round up their electric bills to the nearest dollar. The spare change—just pennies each month—adds up to meaningful support for students, local organizations, and individuals in need.
