We’ve got good news for our members!
Starting August 1, the Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) on your electric bill will be reduced by -$0.0035 per kilowatt-hour. For an average household using 1,500 kWh per month, that’s a $5 savings. That’s real dollars staying in your pocket.
But what exactly is the PCA?
The Power Cost Adjustment is a line item on your bill that reflects the change in costs, mainly related to wholesale power, necessary to serve your home or business. Coweta-Fayette EMC’s Board reviews the PCA routinely and adjust for fluctuations in fuel prices, energy demand, and generation as well as other utility items cost without having to permanently change rates every time the market shifts.
The good news: our wholesale power costs have decreased, and we’re passing those savings along to you.
As a member-owned electric cooperative, our goal is always to provide you with reliable, affordable power, while remaining transparent about how our costs affect your monthly bill. This PCA reduction is one example of how we continue working to deliver the best possible value to you, our members.
If you have any questions about how the PCA works or how your bill is calculated, we’re always here to help. Simply call 770-502-0226. That’s the cooperative difference… we work for you.
