School Presentation Programs

CFEMC is proud to support local schools with engaging, age‑appropriate presentations that educate, inspire, and keep students safe. From career day visits that introduce students to jobs in the electric industry, to our interactive Safety City display that teaches electrical and energy safety, to hands‑on fun with Touch a Truck, our programs are designed to spark curiosity and connect students with the people who power their community.

All presentations are led by CFEMC employees and tailored to fit your school’s needs.

Washington Youth Tour

CFEMC offers a unique experience for high-school juniors who are leaders in their schools, communities, places of worship, or academic and community organizations through the Washington Youth Tour! The co-op is searching for students who enjoy spending time planning projects, volunteering and meeting others from across the state to apply.

Washington Youth Tour is an opportunity for high school students to learn more about our nation’s capital alongside classmates and friends throughout Georgia. It is an all-expenses-paid trip on behalf of Georgia’s electric membership cooperatives (EMCs).

Bright Ideas Grants for Classrooms

Many teachers develop innovative classroom projects, but lack the funds to implement the projects. Our Bright Ideas Grants will help fund these projects for teachers.

For the past two decades, CFEMC has awarded over half a million dollars to local classrooms through our Bright Ideas Grant (BIG) program. Made possible by funding through Operation Round Up (ORU), this powerful program serves as one of our many efforts to help dedicated educators brighten the futures of our area students.
