The tournament was to be originally held on May 9, but had to be rescheduled due to weather. Even with this delay, the tournament raised more than $24,000 to help provide grants to non-profits and enhance educational opportunities to local students through CFEMC’s Operation Round Up Trust.
“The weather couldn’t dampen the resolve of our community partners to raise funds for the Operation Found Up Foundation” said Melissa Turner, Chair of Coweta-Fayette Trust Inc. Board. “We thank all those who came together to help give back to the communities we serve and helped to play a vital part in allowing us to enhance our community’s quality of life.”
The successful event included participation from 28 teams and 17 sponsors competing to give back to the community.
Overall winners include Brent Scarbrough, First Place; Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Second Place; and Turner & Associates Land Surveyors, Third Place.
The Foundation was able to raise money from proceeds in the form of sponsorships and donations directly from 28 local businesses/individuals, including Brent Scarbrough, Chuck Johnson CPA PC, Crossroads Church, Enervision, Inc., Oglethorpe Power Corporation,, Gresco, Irby, ISE, K.A.
